Coach Johnson won 359 games in 26 years as a Varsity Coach- He had a 66% winning percentage. He was named all area coach of the year 8 times – IBCA District 1 Coach of the year 2 times, and coached the Indiana All-Stars in 1997. He won 2 Regional titles, 8 Sectional Championships- and 7 Conference Championships. Johnson served on the IBCA board of directors in 1990-91, was the IBCA president in 1998-99 and 1999-2000 and the IBCA past president from 2000 to 2002. He was an IBCA assistant executive director from 2002-14 and associate executive director from 2014-22 prior to becoming the IBCA Executive Director in June 2022. His 31 years serving the IBCA in a leadership position has not been matched. Johnson was inducted into the East Noble Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. He and his wife. Traci, have two adult children --Son Kyle, daughter in law Sydney and Granddaughter Ella. Daughter Morgan.
