Denny has been a coach for 46 years. 39 years at the high school level and 7 years at the NCAA D-II level, 3 years at Drury University and 4 years at Southwest Baptist University.

Denny has held numerous positions within the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association. He served as District Rep., President, Clinic Director and currently serves as the Executive Director of the MBCA. Denny has been a member of the MBCA since 1985.

Denny earned his undergraduate degree in Physical Education from Missouri State University and his master’s degree from Drury University.

In 2012, Denny received the 2012 MBCA Gary Filbert Lifetime Achievement Award. Then in 2015, he was inducted into the MCBA Coaches Hall of Fame.

For the past nine years, he has directed the development and growth of the Norm Stewart Classic, with the past 4 years enjoying the creation of the Norm Stewart Classic 48 Hours of High School Basketball.

Denny lives in Springfield, MO with his wife Patty, and enjoys time with his daughters Samantha and Alexandra.
