NHSBCA PAST PRESIDENT (NORTH CAROLINA)

• Greg Grantham is a former President of the NHSBCA and is an Emeritus member of the NHSBCA Executive Board. He is the Executive Director of the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association, having served in that role since 2008. Prior to that, he served as President of that organization for 2 years. Under his leadership and with the help of the NHSBCA, the NC Basketball Coaches Association has more than doubled its membership over the past 8 years. He was a charter member of the National High School Basketball Coaches Association and has attended every NHSBCA annual meeting since 2006. Greg coached high school basketball in North Carolina for 27 years before retiring from active coaching in 2011. During his coaching career his teams won over 350 games, 7 Conference Championships and made 2 Final Four appearances. He was named Conference Coach of the Year 5 times and in 1996 was voted the Associated Press State Coach of the Year. He has coached in both the NC East/West All Star Game and the NC/SC All Star Classic. In addition to coaching boys basketball and golf, he served as the Athletic Director at White Oak HS in Jacksonville, NC for 16 years. He currently serves as the Coordinator of Athletics for the Onslow County School District in Jacksonville, NC.
